In this session, Sheena Iyengar, professor at Columbia Business School and best-selling author of “The Art of Choosing,” will break down the art and science behind the decision-making process, giving you helpful insights and strategies to make more candidates want to work with you.

2. Creating a Thriving Workplace Through Career Roadmapping

In a job market where the number of available positions outnumber job seekers, turnover is on the rise. Employees can always look elsewhere if their current role doesn’t meet their expectations — and according to a 2018 Indeed study, 24% of job seekers do just that when their companies offer no room to grow. So what can talent-acquisition professionals do to increase retention and grow the workforce?

Nate Wigert, Recruitment Evangelist at Indeed, will share how to create clear paths toward growth and development for your current employees and provide best practices for career roadmapping.

5. Defining and Communicating Your Personal Brand

In this session, Jennifer McClure, founder and CEO of Unbridled Talent LLC and DisruptHR LLC, will discuss how to identify, communicate and promote your personal brand.

6. The Best Stories Win: How to Make (or Break) Your Brand with the Stories You Tell

Talent experts are an extension of their employer brand and have the powerful opportunity to tell a story with every interaction. Join Matthew Luhn former Pixar animator, story artist and author — to learn how you can craft and communicate a brand story that draws job seekers to you.

Abbey will lead an interactive Q&A with a pair of talent leaders about how inclusive hiring is good for business. They’ll also give practical tips and share strategies for implementing these hiring practices at your company.
